Another day is almost over and I'm sitting here wondering if I should do a third consecutive day of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred... or eat another peppermint JoJo???
I think I know the answer but I'm a tired Mama and truth be told, I'm thinking that Jillian has most definitely never had children or else she would have come up with some other exercise to do besides jumping jacks... Little does she know that Mommy's who have birthed many small children have issues with jumping jacks... minor issues, like, the feeling of their insides falling right out onto the floor with each "jack" jumped.
Not only is the thought of Jillian whipping me into shape floating around in my head...
but the reality that the dishes from dinner are still piled high in the sink,
three of our four little treasures are still romping around our little farm house convinced that there is no need for them to go to bed...
ever...
(lucky for them they have a Mama who knows that bed time is one of the best times of the day:)...
And a little prep for tomorrow's school day is still in need of my attention...
So I better wrap up this post and get back to my real life... But before I do I wanted to make sure that I remind myself of, and thank my Jesus for, the 1000 gifts that I am purposing to find in each of my minutes...
The list continues...
A son full of encouraging words for his Mama
A tender hearted girl visibly displaying her bravery
Eldest son gently reminding me in the midst of my fluster... "Mom, Those are not words that are helpful for building others up."
Hearing them speak the scripture that is written on their hearts.
A son whom God has given a servant's heart...
Answered prayer
A husband who listens to my tender heart
Two girls all dressed up and ready to go to the (pretend) library... aka, the school room tucked away in the far east corner of our little farmhouse.
Three little treasures who came down stairs this afternoon with a brown paper sack full of toys that they wanted to "share with some kids that don't have any"... "we have too much," they said. (They're 5,4 & 2! Crazy!)
An old computer that Papa put together for our eldest two.
A craving satisfied... prayer in the dark with the man I love.
A handful of books ordered on amazon.
An Anthropologie gift card that bought me treasures that I would never otherwise buy...
A new job for My Love for the New Year.
New beginnings, new habits, fresh starts all around...
Simply thankful...
