"Watch Mom! It feels like I'm sledding!"
Siah learned to ride his bike on a cement trail that smoothly wrapped itself around a small portion of the Pacific ocean...
He's learning to master riding his bike on the snow covered path between our house and our barn.
From our gigantic house on the hill over looking the Pacific... to our little farm house not far from the mile-high city...
Everyday we find ourselves leaving comfort... for COURAGE!
The first few times down the snowy hill, Siah fell...
But once he got the hang of it, he ran in the front door, and declared with great pride...
"Watch me Mom! It feel like I'm sledding!!!! "
Sometimes life brings new things... things that aren't always comfortable. But if we stay in that place of comfort we might never experience courage... and courage, I must say... is A LOT more exhilarating and satisfying than comfort!
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged, do not terrified. For the Lord your God is with you where ever you go."
It's not always easy to take those steps... to let go of control... to get up again and again each time that we fall...
But the choice of courage over comfort...
