Catching Up

So it's been a few days... It's not that we've been overly busy or anything... I think I've just been a bit lazy about posting.

Anyways...

WE had a great weekend with Joey's mom in town... We went to the Julian Mining Company and the had a blast with all our little treasures, our Roomies, and of course, Grandma...

The kiddos made their own cider with a very old apple press...

They fed the left over apples to the goats...

Then they made homemade candles... (very UGLY candles I might add!) They actually got bored dipping the wick in the animal fat after about the hundredth time, so Papa took over and put the three candles together to make one giant ugly candle. :)

While Papa, Siah and Hal were busy with the candle thing, I had a little photo shoot with Reesie. It was hot, it was lunch time and it was past nap time, so the fact that I got any smiles out of her at all was a true mini miracle!!!

Papa took Hal "mining" for gold... as you can see, they weren't that successful... that little speck on my hand is all they managed to find.

As always, we attempted a family photo...

We headed to town for some delicious BBQ...

And some famous apple pie..

A couple times a year when Joey's mom comes down, she blesses us with some new clothes for our kids... which is why Halee-bell is wearing such a fun dress.. Oh, and little Hal also sweet-talked Grandma into getting her some new pink princess shoes.
It was seriously such a treat! Thanks Mom!

It was such a nice weekend with the fam...

I'll post again soon... Siah has been saying some hilarious things and My Joey and I went on a date last night... oh, yes we did! :)
