There are a few things that happened in the past few weeks that I want to remember for a long time... so I thought, what better place to record them than here...
here it goes...
Memory #1 Two weeks ago the girls and I got in a car accident... we got hit farely hard from behind in our little scion... Right after we got hit hit I turned around and and asked halee if she was ok... she put her finger up to her mouth and thought about it for a second and then she busted out in song, "the wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round..." I expected nothing less... that is SOOO her!!! she had no idea that something bad had just happened!!! I Love it Hal!
Here's my movie star... She's definitely got spunk....

Memory #2 I tried a new recipe the other day... it was this sweet potato soup... so we have really been working with the kids on having a grateful and joyful heart at each meal no matter what is given to them... So we had sat down to eat the soup and I had just reminded them that we need to have a thankful heart that the Lord had provided a delicious dinner for us...and that even though it might not be their favorite thing we still need to choose to be joyful and grateful for what we have...they had been doing pretty good until this night...
ok so we start to eat and Josiah puts his first bite of soup in his mouth and starts to gag... i thought that he was being dramatic about it so i disciplined him and reminded him about "having a grateful heart." He wiped his tears and bravely took another bite... then i looked over at Joey who had eaten his whole salad (which he NEVER does) and then he took a bite and he made the funniest face.... then he got up and went to the fridge to get some more water.... He came back to the table and sat down and just kinda stared at his soup... All this time I had not yet taken a bite.... So I took my first bite and I couldn't help but make a face... then I looked over at Joey and just started laughing... Joey was kinda "scouping and dumping" his soup in his bowl... All this time the kids are just looking at us like please don't make me eat this... All of a sudden Joey stand up and shouts, "April Fools!!!!!" I was laughing so hard by now... Joey took all the full bowls of soup and put them in the sink... He took the rest of the soup from the pot on the stove and put it in the sink and said, "So who wants some cheese pasta???" Needless to say, we won't be making sweet potato soup again any time soon :)
It even looks a little not so good.... It's ok, you can say it :)
Memory # 3 We had "family time" the other night after dinner... We went for a walk around our neighborhood with the kids... then we came home and Joey pulled out his guitar... we were going to try and teach the kids some new worship songs... the kids wanted to play their instruments too so Hal got the drum and Siah grabbed his guitar... siah borrowed one of Joey's picks and everyone busted out... Let's just say we are NOT the Partridge Family... but I like to think that as "bad" as we might have sounded, it was a "sweet smelling incense" to the Lord. :) I know for me it was a sweet time with my family :)

Last but not least... Yesterday Siah was jumping on the trampoline at a friends house and he fell and hit his head... He's totally fine but it was a "good one"... we didn't get stiches but he's had a butterfly stitch on it and it's already healing up quite nice...
Yeah, it's a gash...
Siah doesn't seem to bothered by it....
