The Bitter Sweet

It's just as hard to find the right words today as it was exactly one year ago today. 

Today's the day the Cowboy and I welcome in new life...

Today's the day she remembers his life.

Today's the day we drive to the hospital.

Today's the day she walks back to Arlington.

Today's the day we will hold our heart's treasure for the first time.

Today's the day she will lay her heart down once again.

Exactly one year ago today our precious friend lost her husband to a suicide bomber in Afghanistan.

It's a bitter sweet day for this Mama.

And this morning as the Cowboy and I pray together on the couch in our farm house for the arrival of this new life, we are simultaneously lifting up the heart of one precious, God-loving, insanely strong, wonderful Mama of three, as we walk together today down different paths that are leading us both straight into the arms of Jesus.

Thinking of you today sweet Heather! Praying for you and I that today with Jesus help, we can both conquer what the Lord has laid before us and by His grace find an unspeakable joy on the other side of these hours. :)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
