We took our Thanksgiving break from school to work on some projects around the house.... Remember this...
Well before we moved in Joey found a vanity on craigslist and put it in so that we at least had a sink. :) It looked like this....
And the rest of the bathroom looked like this...
Then my Dad came and purchased some wains-coating for us... they got the board up before my Dad went home but the chair rail needed to be put up and the rest of the bathroom needed to be painted.
So Joey worked on it a little bit each day this week and it's finally finished! (Well, someday we hope to replace the shower... and in a few weeks we will be replacing the floor with the same flooring that we will be putting in the kitchen and dining room. :)
We really needed a new mirror but instead of buying a whole new set up Joey just made a frame from some wood that he found in the barn. then he painted it the same color as the chair rail and the ceiling. He also painted the wood behind the existing light to match everything else so that we didn't have to buy a new light.
I love how the ceiling looks with the dark brown paint.
I am loving how things are coming together around here. We also worked on the school room a lot this week. I was so hoping to have it all done by the end of the break. We are close but have a few more little things to put together. The kids have been helping me with some projects and my handy husband put up some shelves for me that I saw on one of my most favorite blogs.
Here's a little sneak peak...
I will post pictures of the school room asap!
