Six Songs For A Season Of Change

We're in a season of change.

And when things change my physical body reacts. I don't sleep all that well. I have a perpetual pit in my stomach. And it takes everything in me to put one foot in front of the other and move into the place where Joey and I believe the Lord is asking us to go.

Change is hard.

But it can also be so very good.

It challenges me. It grows me. It draws me close to the Lord__ the very place that I long to be.

It brings The Word to life in verses like,

"Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you."

or
"trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths straight,"
or
"Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please manII were still trying to please manI would not be a servant of Christ,"
or
"Obedience is better than sacrifice,
or
" It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain,
or
"While I wait, you strengthen my heart."

What change really calls me to, is trust

Will I trust the Lord with the secret places of my heart that are afraid yet radically willing?

I trust Him.

I trust Him with my whole life.

And these six songs have kept my eyes on Him as we shift...

Great Reward... By Tim Timmons

Lord I need You... By Christ Tomlin

It Is Well__By Kristene DiMarco & Bethel Music

Rising Sun__ By All Sons & Daughters

More Love to Thee__ By Fernando Ortega

Oceans (Where Feet May Fall)__ By Hillsong United

"Praise to the Father
With every breath I take
In joy and sorrow
All for Your Kingdom's sake
Be Thou my vision
Be Thou my hope restored
Now and forever
You are my great reward
Oh Lord, my great reward"

As our lives shift once again, I trust Him to do as He pleases, for His glory, and my joy.
