Sweet Husband & Best Friends

I was sitting at the kitchen table the other morning doing school stuff with the two older kiddos when Joey walked in with a McDonald's extra large half sweet tea, half lemonade, just for me...
That was sweet!

I have noticed lately that our treasures, although they are 100% siblings and can definitely be each others worst enemy at times, have more and more found great friendship with one another over the past few weeks. Knowing that summer is quickly coming to an end and that cold weather is just around the corner I have been sending the kids outside to play as often as I possibly can. I have created a new rule for the older kids... As long as they can get along with one another, they can stay up in the afternoons and no longer have a "quiet time," which has been the protocol for past several months. And they have been doing awesome! One day last week they spent four hours outside just laughing and coming up with all these silly games that made no sense to me, but clearly they got hours of entertainment out of them. :) It just blesses my socks off when I can see their friendship with one another deepening. :) One of the times that I went outside to check on them I snapped a few photos...

They just love being silly with one another...

And now that Siah is in school the girls have had several opportunities to grow their friendship as well... They will literally spend hours playing "babies" and, "kitchen" and who knows what else. :)

The other day I over heard Halee telling Reesie, "Now come a little closer so that I can cut your hair right." AHHHHH! I ran into their playroom prepared for the worst... But this is what I saw...

Halee was "cutting" Reesie's hair with one of Siah's pretend tools. Pheww!!! Thank goodness!!!

A few days ago they all decided that they wanted to do some watercolor painting together. All three sat at the table for an entire hour painting page after page while talking about sill things and giggling. I don't really get their jokes, but clearly they get each others jokes, and I love that about all three of them when they play together. There is this sense of understanding between the three of them that just blesses me to watch.

I'm so grateful that our treasures are each others best friends. If you ask Siah or Hal who their best friend is, rarely will they say each other... but with all the time that they spend together and the way that they interact with one another, I am convinced that they have an awesome, real love for one another... and I feel so blessed by that! :)
